New England Trail Dedication

by Peter Otis On Sunday, June 8, 2014, Chittenden Park became THE spot to be in Guilford. The Dedication of the Southernmost Point on the New England Trail was dedicated. "From the Sound to the Summits" is a mantra that will be followed by many hikers who will travel through nearly 10% of the trail in Guilford as it stretches to Mount Monadnock in New Hampshire. Covenant Stone Dedication

by Peter Otis Many years ago Former First Selectman and now current Selectman Carl Balestracci had identified a lovely piece of pink granite that has been turned into our Covenant Stone to display the words of the Covenant and the names of the men who signed it.
